I would like to know how Chinese tuition helps.

Does anyone know how Chinese tuition actually improves my Chinese?
Allow me to describe.
It's a private (i.e. one-to-one) tuition.
Every lesson
Teacher does one, two, or a combination of these:
Explains last lesson's homework
Teaches a new ke (chapter)
Assigns Ting Xie (Spelling)\Memorise-ation of Shou Ce (meaning and zhao ju of all words in that ke)
Assigns homework (assessment book chapter\zuo wen\si han\gong han\sometimes two at once)
Assigns gai zheng (corrections) for all previous homework
Assigns redo of bad work\re-testing of ting xie or shou ce
Assigns mass ting xie and shou ce (for tests - ce yan - etc)
And the cycle repeats.
So how is this beneficial to me when,
a) I have NO interest in Chinese (Chinese tuition makes me dislike the subject even more rather than make me interested in it)
b) I forget the meanings of new words I learnt by the next lesson
c) I am forced to do homework that is useless (corrections for tingxie: just copying word over and over again. I don't even know the MEANING of the word. Which isn't beneficial. At all.)
d) My teacher gave me: 1 comp (zuowen), 1 spelling corrections, 1 re-test of the same chapter for spelling, 2 cloze passages (zhong he tian kong). To be finished in 2 days.
I had school work to do. I had drama lesson. Art took hours (And it's not even done yet).
I've had this teacher for 9 years already, and my Chinese has NOT improved above level average. In short, this tuition has done nothing to improve my grades.
If you want to teach me Chinese, you should ENGAGE my interest first. Make me INTERESTED to learn more. Not throw assessment books at me and tell me to do them. Of course I am bad at Chinese. It was having to have tuition in the first place that made me so disinterested towards Chinese. It was a burden to have to attend tuition twice every week, and being assigned homework each time - and being expected to complete everything on time, no matter how much was given.
Even if I tell my parents, they'll tell me to continue. Feelings don't matter to them. All they ask for is grades and marks.
Every teacher thinks their own homework matters the most. So I have to squeeze Lit, Drama, Chinese tuition homework, Piano (practising AND theory homework) into 2 days.
This is the exact reason I use my tablet\play rock band. No, I am not daydreaming like my parents think. I am not ignoring my work. I am trying to de-stress. It's because of all this work piled on me that I WANT to escape for a while.
Also, my parents think "Ah she is using her tablet, she is definitely playing games\playing around\ignoring her work." Apparently they have forgotten that alot of our notes and LSCEP\Art things are done on our tablets. However they foolishly classify any usage of computer "playing".
Yes, it is very adaptable and a good skill to be able to cope and manage your stress and time. But under bad circumstances, ANYONE can succumb. There is a limit to how much you can cope with.
Even the person who can cope with stress the best in the whole world - ask him\her to solve the economic crisis, the global warming problem, terrorist attacks etc. in 2 days and the person will surely be stressed to no end.
Everyone has different levels of "copeage". Just because I don't cope as well as you doesn't mean I am weak. There is just so much for me to do in such a short time.
Tell me, how does this benefit me?
*Note:
I take minimum 2 and 1\2 hours to write a compo.
