Do you think this is fine for a letter to an organisation which takes care of orphans, children sold into prostitution and drug dealing in Northern Thailand?

School project to help underpriviledged children in Northern Thailand

We are a group of four 14-year-old students from Singapore, and we would like to initiate a project in our school, Crescent Girls' School, to donate either money or stationary, clothing items, books and toys to ALF.

We understand that the ALF rescues and nurtures underpriviledged or children sold into prostitution or drug dealing, and we wish to help ALF raise funds to provide additional financial assistance and\or various items to aid the children under ALF's care.

We plan to collect money donations or items over a period of a few weeks, which would then be donated to ALF. As a few members of our group are visiting Chiang Mai and the surrounding rural areas, we would like to assess the education and poverty situation before finding a suitable solution to reduce the problem. Therefore, we may or may not be able to commence this project, but we would like to request permission beforehand.
