Hey peoples!

SENTOUSAA.
of course, with my family.

It's changed over the years.
The Merlion now has some weird river rapids thing outside covered in mosaic.
Of course, it's not life-sized river rapids xD

Also, alot of stuff has been built in and around the Carlsberg (now Tiger, and the design on it sucks. Tigers suck) Tower and Images of Singapore. They call that tourist trap Imbiah.

I don't know.
I missed the old Sentosa.

day one
Boo. We arrived at Costa Sands Resort at around 3\4pm.
And we were supposed to stay in this "Kampong", which was really
a 3 by 3 meter hut.
Apparently, they were trying to save on the electricity bills too, in the form of poor lighting.

That totally sucked, so it was time to head on down to the beach.
It was surprisingly near, like a few steps away.
Siloso, here we come!
Walked around, blahblah, looked at everything that's changed.
Got sand in our slippers etc., and I hated it when that happened.

We got to this beach tram stop with a bicycle hiring station,
shops, restaurants, a fountain, a beach shower and an opening to Siloso beach.
The beach shower was flooding itself.

We dropped by the (severely) cheapo islandlife shop, where my mother bought a hand towel.
For what, who in the world knows.
Then we swung by New Zealand Natural to get some ice-cream.
Their rum and raisin does need some fixing,
which led us to ponder its origin.
Walked along the row of shops, saw Sakae Sushi.

A little more walking and we found ourselves at the Beach Station,
where we bought tickets for the Songs of the Sea musical fountain,
As well as fought the crowd.

Anyhoo, we went back to the bike station early mentioned,
and ate dinner at Sakae. We had the Teppanyaki buffet.
Honestly, my mother ordered too much.
The worst food on the list?
The teppan-mushrooms,
Too much tempura.
Basically a huge portion of what I had.

Best food?
Well, this doesn't really qualify as "food",
but I loved the macha.
Anyway, they didn;t have ice water,
So we had to call bottles of "Oxygenated" mineral water.
"Can we get high on this?"

After that we walked all the way back to Costa Sands,
meanwhile we explored this other posh hotel -
when we really shouldn't have been.
It had everything - glass staircases,
nice pool, nice corridors, not enough security...

Rats, we couldn't find the reception.
We sneaked in through a beachfront restaurant,
and we got to a lift lobby. All the buttons were labeled "Rooms blah to blah".
And at the top was a certain button "R".
"What? Receptions on the top floor?"

.. It was the roof, dammit ._.
Anyway, there was a great view and nice sea breeze.
And we walked down the nice glass staircase :D
.. We found the reception right next to Costa Sands -_-

It was really posh with the glass and all,
but it smelt of leather, like shoes or a sofa.
Euuuugh.

Ok, since this post is getting pre-eetty long, I shall continue in the next post :D
to be continued,
